The purchase decision, The caravan. The accessories, The technology, Let's go!, Appendix, Index.

about the authors
Marie-Luise and Dieter Großelohmann are avid campers and vagabonded through Switzerland, Denmark, and Canada on their first vacations together with their tent. Then, however, setting up the tent in the evening and taking it down in the morning took up too much of their vacation time. Since both are enthusiastic vacation cooks, they also lacked the necessary kitchen equipment. A small, old caravan, optimized by their own hands - but still without a shower - followed, with which they traveled through Norway, Switzerland and France.

When the caravan was needed more and more often for overnight stays during various fairs and other events, a new caravan was needed, which could also provide the necessary sanitary facilities. He accompanied her on many professional trips and also on over 7,000 km through Norway and Sweden. In the meantime it had to give way to a motor home, because every now and then the trailer with the exhibition stand has to be towed!

Brief description
Vacation on the camping site is again increasingly in demand. It is no longer just the classic three weeks in Italy on a campsite that are very popular, but increasingly also mobile vacations in a caravan. It is clear that the caravan has to be equipped differently for daily driving than for a three-week stay at a fixed site

One needs a reasonable sanitary room, if one, at least where that is permitted, also times away from a camping site overnight would like, a built-in fresh water tank and a strong board battery. The choice of the caravan has to be well considered - a big ship is a bit bulky for this kind of vacation. As small as possible, as large as necessary, is the motto when buying. What do I need for cooking and eating? What do I do with the car in winter? How do I maneuver with a trailer? The authors answer all these questions comprehensively and give some additional tips so that even beginners do not experience a disaster on their first trip
