Dashcams are video cameras that continuously record the environment through the front and rear windows of the vehicle. The recorded material can be used as evidence in a traffic accident, for example. If your vehicle is damaged by vandalism while parked, Dashcams with video and picture evidence can also be very helpful. Alpine offers a high-end dashcam with additional driver assistance functions (DVR-F800PRO). An optional camera system for the rear of the vehicle is also available.

Best recording quality
The camera records in 1080p Full-HD at 30 frames per second and features the Sony Exmore STARVIS image sensor for excellent recording quality in the dark. GPS and geo-information as well as driving speed are also recorded simultaneously.
Traffic Recording
As soon as you start the engine of your vehicle, the Dashcam automatically starts recording. Recorded video is stored in one-minute segments with an automatic rhythm and overwritten again. In the event of an accident, the Active Impact Monitoring system automatically saves the video data 10 seconds before and after a collision. The storage is triggered by the 3-axis acceleration sensor. The DVR-F800PRO comes with a 32GB MicroSD card.
Optimum image recording in low light conditions
The Sony Exmor R STARVIS image sensor of the DVR-F800PRO offers rich colours and optimal resolution. STARVIS technology improves sensitivity in low light conditions by providing optimal image quality in the visible and near infrared ranges, enabling clear images in low-light environments.
Integrated GPS receiver
The DVR-F800PRO has a built-in GPS receiver that allows you to accurately determine the vehicle's location and routes based on the vehicle's speed on the map. The GPS information helps you to accurately assess the status of an accident by indicating the vehicle speed, the direction of the collision and the severity of the impact. The GPS position can be displayed on the digital map in the Dashcam Viewer
Dashcam Viewer for PC and MAC OS
The ALPINE DASH CAM PC Viewer is a free downloadable tool that allows you to play back and view your recorded video and important information such as GPS locations, impact sensor data and speed at the time of recording. Available for Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10 and MAC OS 10.x
Driver assistance and hazard warning
This camera is equipped with many innovative technologies that will help you drive and warn you of hazards. Lane Keeping Assist warns you when your vehicle leaves its lane, a Collision Warning System warns you of vehicles in front or gives a signal when the car in front moves on again. You can also use a speed camera database via the DVR-F800PRO to receive warnings when you approach a speed camera.
Lane Keeping Assist
On longer journeys the risk of fatigue and inattention increases significantly. The lane departure warning system alerts the driver if the vehicle leaves the lane at a speed of more than 50 km/h.
Collision and collision warning system
Serious accidents can be significantly reduced with the right safety distance. The DVR-F800PRO's Collision and Collision Warning System calculates the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front in real time. A 3-stage warning system helps you to do this on motorways above 30 km/h or in city traffic below 30 km/h.
Note when the vehicle in front is approaching
After a traffic jam or a prolonged period of red light, the DVR-F800PRO will give you a short warning when the traffic ahead of you starts rolling again.
Vehicle surveillance by day and night
The DVR-F800PRO has a parking mode that monitors your car day and night. If a collision with another car, bicycle, or the like is detected, the camera records video for 20 seconds (10 seconds before and after). This allows you to easily check the exact cause of the collision later.
Dashcam Smartphone App
Download the Thinkware Cloud app (Thinkware Dash Cam Mobile Viewer) from the Apple App Store or Google Play. This allows you to review, download or delete recordings on your phone, update firmware or view a live view of your Dashcam (very handy when you install and set up the camera). Your smartphone connects to your Dashcam via WLAN.

Alpine offers a rear camera (RVC-R800) for monitoring the rear of the vehicle while driving and in parking mode. This provides additional security while driving as well as in parking mode.
Connection options
The DVR-F800PRO includes a wiring harness for connecting the camera directly to the vehicle battery and for easy installation on a cigarette lighter socket
