Structure

Set up in under two minutes, the Autocamp Family car roof tent scores on any terrain:

Sleeping area

With a sleeping area of 160 - 190 centimeters, the Family offers luxurious lying and sleeping comfort. Sleeping in nature is completely redefined on a 7 cm thick cold foam mattress with a traditionally striped, washable Cretonne bed cover.
The separately suspended inner cabin made of pure cotton is also washable and ensures coziness thanks to closable mosquito nets and additional curtains. This is how Autocamp creates a natural and comfortable sleeping climate in the wilderness at all times of the year.
Due to the completely closed inner cabin, protected sleep is possible without any problems even when the roof tent is open!The side ventilation windows can be conveniently opened from the inside by means of a cord and ensure optimal air exchange of breathing air.
The large, longitudinal panorama window on the rear wall has a canopy that can be opened and extended. Thus, breathtaking views of nature are possible while lying comfortably in the raised roof tent bed.

Awning

The spacious Family car roof awning offers over 4m² of space for privacy and storage for families on the move. The awning can be completely closed against the weather if necessary: Thanks to Velcro fasteners, high-quality zippers, roll-off rear wall and a waterproof floor pan, you can completely protect yourself against any weather in the "Family" awning. You always sit comfortably in the dry even in rainy weather with storm.
The awning has large panoramic windows on all sides including roll-up film, privacy screen and fly nets. When the sun is shining, the flanks can be erected to be used as a sun awning and canopy. If you combine the rear side wall with the included rear sail and unfold it, you get a huge tarp: This allows you to get from the tent to under the tailgate with dry feet.

Practically:
All awning walls have removable dirt strips as a closure, so as not to dirty the roof tent when folding. Families and roof tent nomads will quickly learn to love this time-saving feature, available exclusively from Autocamp!
The awning walls can be optimally adjusted to the individual vehicle height. Thanks to separately available extension strips, Autocamp awnings always close with the ground. Thus, the awning of the Family grows easily even when changing vehicles thanks to modular extension strips. This means that any vehicle, regardless of its height, can be equipped with an Autocamp roof tent.

Material

The beige roof and side walls are made of the high-tech fiber Airtex® / AirtexTop and are also suitable for allergy sufferers. They are UV resistant, waterproof, windproof, wrinkle resistant, flame retardant and breathable from the inside. Thanks to this high-tech material, you can sit comfortably in the dry even during storms. This is due in no small part to the high-quality welded roof seams in combination with the new AirtexTop yarns.
The classic roof tent construction combines a light and at the same time stable base plate made of boat plywood with a stable supporting frame made of aluminum and steel elements. The entire tent construction is designed for the toughest use even under high winds - for a lifetime! Because nothing less is our claim.
The underbody is glued several times waterproof, cut to fit from high-quality boat plywood and carries up to 500 kg. So that it is safe to sleep anywhere, even with five people in the Family roof tent.
The lightweight aluminum ladder with profiled, ergonomically angled treads can be extended and serves as a solid support for the front bed flap. This means you can lie safely anywhere while sleeping and get to and from the night bed without any problems. Because of its modularity, the ladder can be extended as needed to fit any vehicle height.
The PVC-coated awning floor creates a dry surface, while the removable PVC extension provides secure protection from the wind. Both components are odorless and tasteless, repel weak acids and bases and organic solvents, making them ideal for families.
Ingenious: The Autocamp Family is even wet packable and does not form mold and mildew stains thanks to the special material composition of the material Airtex ®. This high-tech fabric in the 240 g/m heavy version consists of a woven plastic fiber with an acrylate Teflon coating. It protects the fabric from environmental influences such as UV radiation, bird droppings, resins and dust in the long term and is easy to clean if necessary.

Transport

For assembly, a second person is needed to safely lift and install the Family car roof tent onto the roof racks. There it is fixed by the included locking screw and is ready to go in under 5 minutes.
The tarpaulin protects the roof tent reliably and year-round against any weather and can be unpacked in no time: Only the tensioning rubber bands must be removed! This makes it ideal for outdoor fans who want to travel the world flexibly, in search of freedom.
